This application requires the special hardware (sensor) connected into smartphone headphone jack.
It’s a part of DIY project witch turns smartphone into accurate thermometer.
The sensor does not need any battery, but some phones types can’t provide enough power to run it.
Energy comes from the output where they are usually connected headphones.
The microphone input reads the frequency that represents the temperature.
